Renting for University of the Arts London: campus and area guide
Choose your UAL college and course building before searching for a flat. London College of Communication, Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion need separate housing searches.
Campus and area comparison
| Teaching location | Areas to compare | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| London College of Communication | Elephant & Castle · Southwark | Confirm the teaching building and any announced move before fixing your route. |
| Central Saint Martins | King’s Cross and routes to your course building | Test the last walk and the journey home with your studio timetable. |
| London College of Fashion | Stratford · Hackney Wick | Compare the complete route to your course entrance, not another UAL college. |
Choosing a home for your routine
For LCC, Elephant & Castle is a useful starting area, but check the college’s official building updates for your intake. At a viewing, measure the space you need for a desk, materials and storage. Confirm any restrictions before planning noisy work, specialist equipment or alterations in a rented home.
Rent and move-in costs
The homes on this site are whole-home private rentals, with bills excluded. Compare monthly rent, the tenancy deposit, utilities, broadband, travel and Council Tax where applicable. Any separately chosen guarantor service has its own fee. Chase Evans confirms current availability, costs and application requirements.

Ask for a useful shortlist
Send your actual teaching building, maximum monthly rent for the whole home, move-in date, bedrooms and number of occupants. Ask about a remote video viewing if you are overseas. Keep passports and bank documents out of the initial enquiry.
